Program Description

Teaching Tidepools is an exciting educational program now being presented by the nonprofit Aquarius Aquarium Institute to bring some of California's more rugged tidepool inhabitants into San Joaquin Valley preschool and kindergarten classrooms as well as to children's birthday parties!

The Institute has obtained a Scientific Collecting Permit from the California Department of Fish & Game which allows us to collect an extensive list of saltwater organisms from California's coast.

The organisms collected are housed in two 125 gallon refrigerated former lobster tanks generously donated by Fresno and Visalia Red Lobster restaurants.
